It’s an understatement to say that it’s been a tough month for residents of Fort McMurray. With the wildfire that tore through the town last week still burning towards the Saskatchewan border personnel are working hard to make Fort McMurray safe and habitable for the residents who were so quickly forced out. The fast action and hard work from first responders undoubtedly saved lives and infrastructure and the response from companies and individuals to support those displaced has been overwhelming.
Over the next few weeks your adjustor will be asking you to try your best to put together a home inventory check list. This may be a daunting task but if you create your list room by room it may help to remember as many of the items as possible. You could even ask family and friends if they have photos that they may have taken within your home – or check out your own facebook & Instagram photo albums for pictures taken inside your home – the photos may help with remembering what was there as you try to imagine each room and what was in it.
